Our
Story
At Bluebird Hollow Farm, our journey started with a desire to reconnect with the land, embrace sustainable farming, and share the joy of farm life with others. When we decided to introduce goats to our farm, we wanted a breed that would be not only beautiful and fun to raise, but also practical and loving. After researching many different goat breeds, we found ourselves drawn to the Nigerian Dwarf goats – and we haven’t looked back since!
Why Nigerian Dwarf goats? Well, these little goats offer so much more than just their adorable looks (though we’ll admit, their charm is hard to resist!). Their compact size made them an ideal fit for our small farm, allowing us to care for them with ease while still offering plenty of space for them to explore and play. But it wasn’t just their size that caught our attention—it was their sweet, docile temperament and boundless curiosity that made us fall in love. Nigerian Dwarfs are known for being affectionate and social, forming strong bonds with both humans and other animals, which was exactly what we were looking for.
Another big draw was their milk. Nigerian Dwarf goats produce rich, creamy milk that’s perfect for making everything from delicious cheese to soothing soaps. This milk is not only a treat for the taste buds, but also an essential part of our commitment to sustainable farming practices.
As our herd grew, so did our appreciation for the Nigerian Dwarf breed. Watching our goats interact with each other, play, and greet visitors with their sweet voices has been a constant source of joy and inspiration for us. Today, we’re thrilled to share these incredible animals with our community and beyond.
From the first day we brought home our Nigerian Dwarfs, we knew we had made the right choice. They’ve become a cherished part of our farm, and we can’t wait for you to meet them and experience their lovable, spirited personalities firsthand.
